Building from Source

What source should I get?

Due to our somewhat non-standard Project File Structure, we strongly recommend that you download all of the source code from our SVN repository from the root. This ensures that you have all dependencies and greatly aides in a successful build. You can always trim down the source code which you retrieve later as you become more familiar with your favorite project.

What tools should I use?

The vast majority of our projects are built using Visual Studio 2010 Premium edition, the remainder are built using Visual Studio 2008 Professional but can easily be built using 2010 as well. Additionally, you should be able to build all of these projects using Express Editions of Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 and/or 2010.

What if I make a change for the better?

Finally, if you make any changes which you feel improve the code in any way - please submit the code as a patch.
