How Does NetWatcher Work? - Basically. (1) NetWatcher pings the server at a given rate and works the amount of "Hits & Misses" into a "UP-Time & DOWN-Time Percentage" (2) It keeps track of how long the server takes to respond and keeps a "Shortest-Time & Longest-Time" record. (3) It changes the tray icon from a "Green-Check" to a "Red-Dash" depending on if the server is responding or not.
